I’ve been snapping pictures of a late fall, walking around in the garden, feeling blessed, and I had to share the pictures and blessings with you! There’s so much to see and do. For now, the doing may have to wait for a warm day here and there, without rain. The weeds are getting out of control, so we are blessed with good weather and good soil!
We promised Jean Potuchek over at Jean’s Garden to share our new baby cedar pictures, an Atlantica Glauca:
We are blessed it is surviving, they are said to be hard to transplant.
DH found a late season praying mantis and her egg case:
We are blessed to have so many little hungry mouths to feed next season!
We finished planting the expanded path garden. We’ll take pictures next year to show how this planting came out.
We are so blessed to have the opportunity to plan and plant another season!
We are so blessed in zone 7 to have such extended fall color:
The river birch in our birthday garden is always interesting, but it is the star of the garden in the winter:
And the star of the patio is the japanese maple:
How are you counting your blessings?

Beautiful post…such great autumn color…I adore Atlas Cedars!
Thanks for sharing your love of these – there just aren’t enough in the landscape! Best to you!
The river birch is beautiful! Thank you for letting us come along with you in your garden walk today. I had to take notes on some of the plants and ideas I saw there. On your patio, is that a Singer sewing machine bottom with a concrete top? I have a bottom that needs a top and that one looks perfect!
Yep, that is 2 singer bases. We went to the stone supplier and got a piece of slate cut for top. Really rugged. Great for entertaining – just hose it off when done. Thank you for walking around with us!
Great! Thanks for the tip on the stone. We can use that on our deck. Woohoo!
I adore your Atlas Cedar–and envy it! I just love the texture it provides to the garden. River birch has always been a favorite for bark interest, and your Japanese maple is magnificent. Lovely, lovely garden…thank you for sharing!
Thank you for visiting and sharing the beauty of the season! Best to you and Happy Thanksgiving!
I love these images — I’ll have to follow you on Pinterest!!
Thanks for visiting and hope to talk with you again! Best to you as we end 2012 and begin 2013 !
