We take the drive and meet only one or two other cars along the way, which is probably good, because there are few pull-offs along the dike drive. Only the sounds of the birds and fish disturb the absolute stillness. Whether hot or chilly, the experience is a calming, soothing meditation of God’s beauty and bounty.
