When I first saw that fairy gardening was going to be a trend, I eschewed it and counseled my co-worker not to stock that kind of stuff, but then I remembered all the fun I had playing in the dirt with my matchbox cars, driving down roads I made, past little houses I built. Perspective is everything.

      So true! Building with real stuff and imagination – I’m not into fairies, but I love a stick built building and a sturdy wheel, and miniaturize it so I can work up close and with less material to boot!
