Our earliest azalea are in bloom and they almost hurt your eyes in the sun!
They are so vibrant!
When we first built the house (1976), the builder planted these azalea all along the front of the house in a northern exposure.
Over the next 3 years, we lost most of them to winter winds. So we transplanted the few that were left to the back of the house, and they have thrived.
Some we put in shade (not a good decision, although they are alive still) and some we planted in a sunny location.
This past winter the deer found them and nibbled mercilessly, but they still have bloomed and we share them with you now.
